Purpose: The Learning Academy requires an Office Administrator intern to support and assist the current Learning Academy Team with day to day activities. The ideal candidate will have completed a Further Education and Training Certificate in the Office Administration NQF L4 or similar qualification in the same field, with a passion for People Development and the Business Environment. The candidate will need to have high energy levels and an unwavering commitment to learn and develop. The internship is a structured work-based program, affording unemployed graduates work experience in our Company. This program gives students workplace experience or an opportunity to practice the work skills that they have studied and will practice inorder to assist them in the future in their chosen occupations. The successful applicant will enter into a 12 month Internship agreement (not a employment contract) with the company and receive stipend of R4 000p.m. This is a learning opportunity for a graduate that has a passion for Office Administration and would like gain experience in order to pursue a fulltime career in Office Support This initiative is part of a bigger Employment Equity plan and responsibility to create opportunities for black candidates, so preference will be given to previously disadvantage applicants During the Internship the successful candidate will be exposed to: General Office Administration Scanning/Filing and making copies of documentation Stationery management Learnership Record keeping Uploading learners on the INSETA SMS system Venue bookings for all programme Ensuring the training venues booked are neat and tidy at all times Scheduling programme meetings Register management for learning programmes Reporting on issues concerning learners’ training and general well being Assisting the Learnership Coordinator with ensuring that the learners’ on-the-job training requirements are fully met, through effective scheduling Assisting, whenever necessary and capacity permitting, the other coordinators within the Learning Academy Even though we expect a lot we will always be willing to provide as much support and assistance as is practically possible. We do however believe it will also be your responsibility to ensure that we give the support you need. Qualifications: FET qualification in Office Administration or similar is essential Competencies: Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills Attention to detail/Quality oriented Deadline and results oriented/Work standards Innovative and display huge amount of initiative Enthusiastic and passionate about the job and the company Effective at planning and organisation/Work management Ability to act neutral and fair Excellent Administration Skills Ability to work in a team and display tolerance and courtesy towards fellow Team Members and clients Judgment/Problem solving Adaptability Integrity Tolerance for stress Ability to respect confidentiality High level of personal tolerance to clients and fellow colleagues Attitude of continuous learning and self development Speed in terms of delivery People focused approach Must be fully computer literate and have advanced knowledge and skill of MS Office (especially MS Outlook, Excel, Power point and Word) Excellent report writing skills Additional Information: An ideal candidate will be able to align their personal work values to the FRSTIA’s values of passion, profitability, recognition and awesome service. Enthusiastic in dealing with people in a stressful, deadline orientated environment is essential. The role is a demanding one that requires long working hours and regular Saturday work.
