ANC fumes over Zuma’s Spear

The ANC has expressed outrage at a painting entitled the The Spear which depicts President Jacob Zuma with his penis exposed, saying the representation of its leader is distasteful and indecent.

via ANC fumes over Zuma’s Spear.

Zuma is not my favourite president, but this, this is just not acceptable…

Please share this with all. This is a good example of why you should look around your vehicle before leaving your driveway/parking area.
clip_image001Please see this young child in the wheel well of the truck. A Pike crew working for another Utility found this child while conducting a CIRCLE OF SAFETY of the company truck the crew members were driving.

I don’t want to think about what would have happened if the employee had gotten in the truck and drove off without doing a walk around. Please share this eye opening, bone chilling photo and experience with your work groups.
This crew has also reported children climbing into the back of company vehicles. Keep in mind children will be out of school on summer break soon so be sure to watch out for them!!
Just another reason for us to do the vehicle CIRCLE OF SAFETY before driving off in our vehicles.

Support Petition Against Tolls

Dear anti-toll petitioner,

With your support the DA petition against the tolls at www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/dashr has risen to more than 90 000 supporters.

The DA has vigorously fought the tolls. This includes the launch of the TollfreeGP website and facebook page (see www.tollfreegp.co.za), the petition hearings in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, and support for the e-tag boycott.

The DA participated in the formation of the Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance (OUTA) that has successfully obtained a court interdict against the tolls. We have to date contributed R75 000 to their legal costs.

OUTA needs your assistance to ensure that the court fight continues and the tolls are STOPPED.

Please go to their website at www.outa.co.za and contribute NOW.

Please pass this on to everyone that you know. We can win this if everyone contributes! click.asp?HitID=1336991511480&EmID=23426082&StID=33529&SID=14&NID=364570&Email=johntho@nedbank.co.za&token=f35de1c0753ea994c63550ac06f1bdfd1ad0fea5

In my culture I have learnt that when people are faced with danger or can sense danger they cry “Mmaweee” (mom call).  The includes elderly people (yep even the former President Nelson Mandela would cry like that), people who lost their mothers, people who never met or seen their mothers, those who are mad at their mothers, even those who hate their mothers (if there are such), those who were raised by their fathers

I wonder why all these people say that, “mmawee” instead of “papawee”?  I still can’t find that answer to this question or a person who can explain that to me.  Well I’ve reached a conclusion that this happens for the very same reason a calf knows it has to stand up and start suckling, a joey (baby kangaroo) knows how to find the mother Kangaroo’s pouch and when it gets there it knows that it has to find the teat, of which if it doesn’t it’ll die.

mother-inspirational-dailyHaving said that, there are great mothers out there that makes you not even wonder why we cry like that.  Also there are terrible mothers out there, but their kids still cry “mmawee”.  So regardless of how terrible a mother she is,  she has been appointed a duty, to care, nurture, guide, protect, empathise, understand, appreciate, encourage, heal, etc.  Nobody can take that away from a mother.

It’s through that I encourage all the mothers in the whole wild or wide world to become the best mothers they can be in whatever conditions they find themselves in.  Don’t let a bad husband/boyfriend, government laws, community/society, religion, friendships, family(in-laws), turn you into a bad mother.  Some say “Every woman is capable of bearing a child, but not every woman is capable of rearing a child”.  I disagree with that, because I believe every woman, has it in her from birth, it’s an inborn thin.  A mother’s love is instinctual, unconditional, ever-growing and eternal.

Some say it’s an abbreviation which stands for:

“M” is for the million things she gave me,
“O” means only that she’s growing old,
“T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
“H” is for her heart of purest gold,
“E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
“R” means right, and right she’ll always be.
